Government College Safidon is a prestigious educational institute that fulfills the academic need of a large number of students from surrounding rural and urban areas. Established 46 years ago, this college has made a remarkable progress since then. I have happened to serve this renowned institute since 1st of July 2022, at the very beginning of the current academic session. With lush green environment, good building, and well-equipped labs, classrooms (smart classrooms), along with learned faculty, my college offers General Pass Courses in all the three streams, Science, Arts, and Commerce, and importantly PG courses in English, Hindi, and Commerce, also UG Honours-in-English. From this session 2022-23, PG in Geography and PGDCA have been introduced.
In addition to academic opportunities, it is ensured that the human values, ethics, and cultural norms be inculcated in Students so that they embark on a journey toward better citizen. My vision in leading this college towards excellence corresponds with the motto enshrined in logo: "Shradhavan Labhate Jnyanam" -- faith in everything that is good, beauty and truth. We not only focus on academics but also encourage extracurricular activities and communication skills for the holistic development of young minds.
